The Three Posts of a Propagandist — Annotated

@nickmangwana — Nick Mangwana, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information · 1 April 2026 — April Fools' Day "It is encouraging to witness democratic processes in action, with due consideration given to public input. #CAB3" ZHRO ANNOTATION: Posted alongside the AI-generated American community hall image (Exhibit A). At this exact moment: lawyers were being assaulted at City Sports Centre; microphones had been seized by Zanu-PF youth; the teachers' union had already withdrawn; Amnesty International had already condemned the violence. The AI watermark — "Caption created by Mfecune" — is visible in the bottom-right corner of the image he posted. |

@nickmangwana · 2 April 2026 "As the #CAB3 consultations conclude, it is encouraging to see the President's steady hand on Zimbabwe's foreign policy. Maintaining a principled and consistent international posture is essential for attracting investment and fostering diplomatic goodwill." ZHRO ANNOTATION: A masterpiece of deflection. The consultations are concluding in chaos, boycott and international condemnation — so Mangwana pivots to "foreign policy" and "diplomatic goodwill." This is the information equivalent of an orchestra playing as the ship goes under. The international community monitoring Zimbabwe's "principled posture" was at that same moment reading Amnesty International's condemnation and Human Rights Watch's documentation of months of beatings and abductions. |

@nickmangwana · Late 2 April 2026 "Zimbabwe has no official register of political parties. That means if your so-called party lacks parliamentary representation, you have no grounds to boycott anything — you can't walk out or walk away from any process. As long as members of parliament from across the political spectrum have participated, the process is already broad-based. #CAB3" ZHRO ANNOTATION: The mask slips entirely. This post attempts to legally erase civil society, trade unions, churches and millions of individual citizens from constitutional participation. It is constitutionally illiterate: Section 328(4) of the 2013 Constitution guarantees participation rights to citizens — not registered parties, not MPs. Citizens. Mangwana erases the citizen entirely. It is also the most naked taunt of the three — directed personally at Biti, Madhuku and Timba. Translation: you do not exist. We win. |
